Instructions:
An application for a permit must include the applicant’s Site Grading and Drainage Plan, including an Erosion Control Plan along with sufficient engineering calculations to verify stormwater discharge(s) if applicable. The plans must be factual and complete and submitted in duplicate to the City of Saraland Building Inspection Department.

Pursuant to the requirements of the City of Saraland Ordinance and its Flood Plain Management Plan, the undersigned hereby applies for a permit for the activity represented on the attached plans.

Approval of the Land Disturbance Permit is NOT authority to initiate construction. The applicant is responsible for obtaining the necessary approvals and insuring compliance with all applicable Zoning, Subdivision, Tree, Land Use and Development Ordinances, Policies and Regulations. 

Construction plans are maintained in the City Building Inspection Department and should be in compliance with Ordinance 11-9. It is required that an Alabama Professional Engineer certify that this project has been completed in compliance with plans approved by the City’s Engineer prior to the granting of a Certificate of Occupancy. 

NOTE: A permit from the Building Inspection Department is required for all significant trees 

(including 18” or larger live oaks) to be removed, trimmed or relocated.
