Fall Clean Up & Love on Saraland
The City of Saraland officials strive to provide its residents a safe, clean and inviting community. To assist in these efforts, the city will hold its Fall Clean-up Day & Love on Saraland Day on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
FALL CLEAN-UP DAY: Saraland residents are encouraged to properly dispose of unwanted household items by bringing them to the Public Works Facility, 150 Station Street from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
LOVE ON SARALAND DAY: This event is for everyone! Participants can range from residents, churches, busniesses, civic and school organizations, etc. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the Saraland Municipal Complex, 727 Saraland Boulevard, S., at 7:00 a.m. Event will end at 12:00 p.m. Clean-up supplies and assignments will be provided before everyone heads out to their designated areas. For those who have participated in this event before, don’t forget to wear your Love the Land t-shirt. The first 50 first-time participates to register online, will receive a t-shirt. Registration for this event is strongly encouraged.
Fall Clean Up - Acceptable items
Yard Debris, Bulky Household Items, Automotive Batteries, Motor & Cooking Oil (Limit 5 gallons), Antifreeze, Paint (Limit 5 gallons), Tires (Limit 4 - passenger & regular truck tires with rims removed). Unacceptable items: Refrigerators/Freezers/AC units (unless freon has been professionally removed and tagged); Aerosol Cans, Mineral Spirits, Paint Thinner, Propane/Welding Tanks, Pesticides or Lawn Treatment Chemicals, Hazardous or Medical Waste, Pool Chemicals.
Shred-it & Ransom Recycling
Shred-it will be onsite for complimentary shredding of personal documents. Limit 2 banker boxes (15x10x24) per vehicle.
Ransom Recycling will be available to collect electronics & other various items. Only Flat Screen Televisions & monitors will be accepted at this event.
NO TUBE / CRT MONITORS ACCEPTED. Computer hard drive destruction will be offered ($3 for no Certificate / $6 for Certificate of Destruction). Limit 4 per vehicle.
