The Saraland Senior center

The Senior Center delivers hot meals to homebound seniors. The center manager must conduct an assessment to determine the person’s eligibility. Home delivered meals area is subject to availability and the delivery areas are limited. The Home Delivered Meals Program allows seniors to remain in their homes and also provides them with a daily visit to check on their welfare. Must be a member and request this service from Center Manager.

We  have trained drivers who operate the Senior Center vehicles. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday, except holidays, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Wheelchair accessible vans are available. Rides must be scheduled through one of our Transportation Coordinators. Three primary factors are considered when scheduling rides: medical necessity, disability and age. Appointments for non-medical trips will be provided on a space available. First time riders will need to fill out application forms. Transportation is provided for: Medical Appointments, Social Service Agency Appointments, Local Merchants, and Saraland Senior Center.
